About Us

The SOM Sickle Cell Foundation is a not for profit, Non-Governmental Organization based in Abuja-FCT. Established in September 2021, and registered with the Corporate Affairs Commission (CAC/IT/No.165884) and registered with the Federal Inland Revenue Services (FIRS) with TIN No.: 24029467-0001.

The Foundation was founded by Mallam Shehu Olaitan Mohammed a Fellow of the Institute of Chartered Accountants of Nigeria, former General Manager/CFO at the Daily Trust newspaper and a sickle cell patient himself.

The SOM Sickle Cell Foundation objective amongst others is to increase the general awareness on sickle cell disorder, improve the well-being of patients by providing them access to healthcare and other enhancing factors for better living.

The SOM SCF in partnership with the Yakubu Gowon Centre presents its 1st National Dialogue on Better life for persons living with sickle cell Disorder.

Date                      : Tuesday 29th November 2022.

Venue                  : Merit House, Maitama. Abuja.

Time                    : 10am prompt.
