Shehu is the Chairman of the Board of Trustee of SOM Sickle Cell Foundation. He is a seasoned professional with over 30 years relevant experience in financial accounting and auditing, taxation, financial and management consulting, Business Advisory, Risk, and Human Resources Management cutting across different industries and sectors of the economy.

He holds a bachelor’s degree in Accounting from the Obafemi Awolowo University, Ile-Ife, and he is a Fellow of the Institute of Chartered Accountants of Nigeria (ICAN) and member of the Nigeria Institute of Management (NIM).

He was formerly a General Manager and Chief Financial Officer (CFO) at the Media Trust Ltd (publishers of Daily trust tittles)

He has been involved in the turnaround of many failing companies into profitable ventures.

Shehu has attended several Executive Management programmes both locally and internationally. This includes Lagos Business School, Howard Business School Washington DC, USA and the Manchester Business School UK among several others.                                                                                                  

He is passionate about sickle cell Advocacy and he is the founder of SOM sickle cell foundation, whose focus is on enhancing the total well-being of the sickle cell patient.

He is the Author of the book, I’M A SURVIVOR; THE STORY OF MY TRIUMPH OVER SICKLE CELL PAINS

A Sickle Cell warrior himself, his personal experience as a person living with the SCD propelled him to be of help to other people going through the pains of the disorder. He believes in being a motivator through whom others can be helped. He is the CEO/Managing Partner of Shehu Mohammed & Co. (Chartered Accountants)
